NI-SIGNAL TRAINING PRODUCTS typically include a number of components, all designed to enhance the learning experience, improve retention and reinforce the learning back on the job.

BEFORE THE SESSION

PRE-COURSE PACKAGE
Most programs include a comprehensive pre-course package that explains to participants what the program is all about and asks them to reflect upon their own circumstances in preparation for the session. Frequently, the pre-session material includes articles to read, personal diagnostic instruments to complete and forms for participants to list their personal expectations.

LEARNING STYLE INVENTORY
All programs include a learning style inventory that employees fill out and return to us. This helps our trainers understand the learning make-up of the participants and allows us to adapt our delivery to your employees' preferred learning style.

A PHONE CALL
The human element is an important beginning to a training program, and most programs include a pre-session telephone call from the facilitator to introduce him or herself to the participants and get a bit of background information helpful to program delivery.

DURING THE SESSION

Course materials include course manuals, exercises, templates, job aids and other personal diagnostic instruments. The experiential nature of the majority of our programs ensures active participation and opportunities to reflect or observe others in action. Materials are typically housed in high-quality binders, allowing participants to remove and re-order material as they see fit. Longer programs include tabbed section dividers for quick reference during and after the program. Stand-alone material is often spiral bound or saddle stitched and three hole punched for storage within the binder and ease of use when removed from it.

AFTER THE SESSION

Many Uni-Signal programs include formal follow-up process. A variety of methods are used, including evaluation sheets, personal "contracts", stop-start-continue cards designed to allow participants to express what they intend to stop doing as a result of the learning, what they intend to start doing, and what they wish to continue doing. In addition a variety of job aids, memory joggers and motivational tools often form part of numerous follow-up packages. The human element is also a critical portion of post session activities and most programs include a telephone call or visit from the trainer within 6 weeks of the program delivery.
